Cracked Wax
I have spent my life with a skull of wax, wandering in the sun
I wonder who made me so
I wonder who left me on this hamster wheel I run
Oh…
They say Icarus laughed as he fell, but they lie
I know it's true
I know he cried
The sun dried his tears and then left him to die
Oh how I try
But all they do is lie
Oh…
Daedalus!
O' Daedalus, why must you leave him so
Daedalus, O' Daedalus, you warned him — I know
But even as he fell did your heart not ache
No Daedalus, dear Daedalus, you only saw his mistake
So save me, my friend, from my own mental break
Save me, dear friend, don't leave me to waste
As I fall down again
I perish
I've grown
Save me again, God, don't leave me alone
What's in a Name?
The name Nova really was perfect
Based around a Supernova
A grand astronomical event
Highlighting my own hubris
The grandeur also highlighting my wish to not be alone, my wish to be thought about by others, my wish for attention
It's warm colors highlighting my wish to give and feel happiness and love
And of course the main aspect
The explosion
Highlighting how I break down when the pressure builds up, and how I'm the cause of my own destruction
And lastly
The aftermath
Highlighting my wish to just disappear
I Envy Those Who Are Free
I envy those who've shot themselves
It seems so fast
Painful, horribly so
But fast
Swiftly remove the brain
Swiftly disregard one's thought
Everything goes in a bang
It's not like other extravagant deaths
Jumping off a building, or in front of a train
Or like quiet ones
Carbon monoxide poisoning, or in one's sleep
It's a mix of both if you think about it
Done alone
Quietly
Until being finished off by one's own hand in the blink of an eye
The walls painted a cathartic red
Eyes exploding
Mind shattering
Ripping your essence out of your body
Freedom in it's truest form
